Assistant Leaders

Wondering what to do with your holidays?  Why not come and be an Assistant Leader on Lymington Rushmore!

Who?

Being an AL is for anyone who's left school and wants to enjoy a fantastic week where they can

BELONG to a great crowd of people committed to running excellent activity holidays

LEARN more about the Christian faith and what it means to follow Jesus Christ in the 21st Century

SERVE by doing practical tasks in the house, dining room and kitchen

Where?

We have Assistant Leaders on our holidays at both Sandroyd School and Walhampton School.

What?

Being an AL on camp is loads of fun!  Come and be part of a group of 15-25 students and school leavers helping out with the practical tasks on camp as well as having an opportunity to explore or grow in the Christian faith.

The work that the ALs do 'behind the scenes' frees up the leaders to run activities and to care for the young people who come on our holidays.  During the camp you’ll be part of a practical team, either in the house or the kitchen.  The mornings are usually taken up with doing AL duties, such as cleaning or washing up, and then there's some time off to chill out in the afternoons.  As well as that, there are talks, Bible studies and seminars to help you think through the Christian faith further for yourself.

How much?

Leaders and Assistant Leaders all contribute to the cost of running Lymington Rushmore Holidays so that we can keep the cost for the campers as low as possible.  £205 covers the cost of your board and accommodation.  If you do two or more summer holidays the total cost is £250. This is payable in one go or over monthly installments if that is easier.  We do provide bursaries if the cost would prevent you from coming - please contact the office for further details.
